Border Crossing
When you want to keep a party moving, serve a festive drink with a wanderlust theme. We found the Border Crossing, a retro tequila cocktail, in a 1971 bartending book and tinkered with it a bit to bring it up to date.

For One Drink1 1/2 ounces tequila |
Shake all the ingredients with ice and strain into an ice-filled glass. |

For Twenty Drinks3 3/4 cups tequila1 1/4 cups raspberry liqueur (such as Chambord) 1 1/4 cups fresh lime juice 1/4 cup plus 3 scant tablespoons superfine sugar |
Combine all the ingredients in a large pitcher, add ice, and stir for about 30 seconds. Spoon out the ice cubes. Store the pitcher in the refrigerator until party time. |
